Too much time on social media? A puzzle is what you really need

January 23, 2026

We are all more or less aware of how much time we end up spending in front of a screen – computer, phone, interrupting notifications, videos scrolling one after another. The thing is, it never seems like that much at the time until the weekly notification arrives on Monday on your iPhone, showing a summary of the time spent online. That's when my face usually contorts in shock...

The most common estimates speak of over 2 and a half hours a day on average, which easily becomes 3-4 hours for those who work on a computer or use their smartphone as an outlet. By the end of the year, this time can exceed 900 hours, entire weeks absorbed by scrolling, bite-sized content, continuous interruptions. And often, without leaving anything truly memorable.

What is the real risk?

It's not just a matter of "wasted time" or lightweight content. Today, with increasingly extreme feeds and content more and more influenced by AI, we often find ourselves consuming hasty, repetitive, or even misleading material. But the heaviest effect is the loss of concentration, the difficulty in doing one thing well at a time, and the mental fatigue that the phone leaves behind when it should only be for recreation.

In practice, the brain gets used to constantly jumping from one stimulus to another. And then, when calm, attention, and continuity are needed, it feels like they are no longer available.

In recent years, trends related to outdoor sports like tennis, padel, running, and manual hobbies have exploded on social media and are making a comeback. All these things are wonderful, but not always immediately accessible as they require time and organization. If, instead, you are looking for something faster, more relaxing that you can do anytime, alone or with company, puzzles are truly what you need and what suits you.

They make you slow down without "switching off" and, above all, give you concrete satisfaction – you see the progress, piece by piece.

StoPuzzle was born from this idea: to bring back to life a game with ancient origins, but still super popular today, making it more contemporary and desirable.

However, often when people think of puzzles, they don't have fantastic memories because the illustrations are unoriginal, the pieces are very similar to each other, and this causes more frustration than pleasure. But with StoPuzzle, everything is different; our puzzles are made to entertain, relax you, they are fun to do and beautiful to hang!
