After the much-loved Japan Tour, we stopped to think about what the next collection could be that would make you fall in love just as much?
And the truth is, we really thought about it… for a whole year.
Our whiteboard was full of notes, sketches, trials, ideas scattered everywhere… more than 30 different themes to try and find “the perfect collection” of puzzles that everyone would like. Then, at some point… an epiphany struck. If the Japan Tour was so loved with its unique way of telling the story of Japanese cities, revisited in a different key, then why not take it a step further?
Why not create a puzzle collection dedicated to the most iconic, beloved, and dreamt-about cities… but in a European and global version?
This is how the... WORLD TOUR was born.
But what is the World Tour and how do we differentiate it from the Japan Tour?
The Japan Tour collection, as its name suggests, only covers the Japanese world with its characteristics, whereas the World Tour broadens the horizon to all cities around the world, starting with the most beloved ones.
The first stop could only be a puzzle dedicated to our beloved city, Naples. Over the years we have collaborated with several brands to create puzzles that tell its story, but this time we wanted to do something different, a creation entirely our own, born from us, conceived by us and the artist, built with all the love that Naples deserves.
The World Tour Puzzles: Features and Curiosities
Naples Puzzle is our 500-piece puzzle created by Andrea Boatta. What could be more iconic than the well-known Margellina waterfront, representing the slow pace of Neapolitan life with a full view of Vesuvius. The blue of the sea, the old men sunbathing, the gentleman on the SUP, and the children playing with a ball, are the classic representations of this place; of course, a few small references to Naples' fourth Scudetto could not be missed.
Amsterdam Puzzle of 1000 pieces designed by ValentArt. Here the representation changes: it's a holiday, the famous King's Day that attracts millions of tourists every year. In the background, a beautiful sunset envelops Amsterdam and, as the main protagonist, there's the very famous tourist boat that passes through the city's canal.
New York Puzzle of 500 pieces by Polina Alekseenko. Here too, one of the most illuminated places in the world 24/7 is captured: Times Square. In the illustration, New York is immediately recognizable by its urban symbols such as giant screens and neon signs, skyscrapers reaching for the sky, iconic street signs, the continuous hustle and bustle, and that atmosphere we all know from movies.
Paris Puzzle of 1000 pieces by Filippo Perelli. We all know the Parisian views, the timeless charm of the City of Lights, and the romantic atmosphere full of details and stories to tell. A soft pink palette and scenes of daily life make up this puzzle.
